OSA Pre-Retirement Seminar

This October, the Organization of Staff Analysts will hold a Pre-Retirement Seminar, for members approaching or contemplating retirement or for those who simply want an overview of the various financial and procedural implications of retirement from City service.

The single-session seminar will be led by the OSA pension counseling team. The session will present an overview of retirement entitlements:

  • Pension Filing Procedures (including maximizing Social Security and pension benefits through effective coordination and reviewing your pension distribution options and comparative costs)

  • Welfare Fund Benefits (including an explanation of OSA retiree benefits and coordination of Welfare Fund benefits with other resources, including Medicare.)

  • Terminal Leave

  • Medical Benefits (including plan changes and Medicare benefits; Part B reimbursement)

    The session will be held twice on Zoom both on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 and Wednesday, October 18, 2023
