On May 1, 2011, numerous labor unions, including OSA, joined together with immigrants' rights and workers' rights groups for an afternoon rally in Manhattan's Foley Square. The demands were jobs for all and protections of immigrant rights and labor rights. OSA Chair Bob Croghan spoke, and was joined on stage by a number of members and activists, including Tony Lee, Keith Kelly, Cecelia McCarthy, Sherman Gould, John Harper, and others.
