The OSA bargaining team did meet with the Mayor's office on June 20th for contract negotiations and is scheduled to meet again in two weeks on July 11th. We remain hopeful that the agreement can be signed this summer.

As a reminder, this contract includes five wage increases. There are 3% increases each year for 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, followed by a 3.25% wage increase in 2025, for a total compounded increase of 16.21%.

The contract also includes a $3,000 signing bonus, significant contributions to the union's Welfare Fund and increases to longevities, service increments and advancement increases.

For a detailed look at ongoing bargaining, please refer to the June 22 general membership meeting video.

The Union met with the City for its second bargaining session on Tuesday, May 30th. The City provided answers to some, but not all demands, and provided some, but not all of the numbers and information we requested. These negotiations are progressing nicely and, as of now, things look promising that we could come to an agreement sooner rather than later. Our next bargaining session is scheduled for two weeks from now, Tuesday, June 20th.

Our Transit Authority unit agreement has been fully executed, and is expected to be approved by the Transit board at their next meeting on Wednesday, June 28th.

Several members have called the union this week about a letter they received from Farmers Insurance claiming to provide OSA member benefits. Be aware that OSA has no such affiliation with Farmers Insurance. We are currently pursuing the matter and ask that you disregard any invitation you receive from Farmers claiming to provide an OSA member benefit.
