There were a few leftovers from our holiday party. One man's hat was exchanged for a similar one. If your hat does not fit, you may have picked up the wrong one. A scarf was also left behind, and a briefcase taken in error. In all cases, call Marzie at the union office for exchange, return or retrieval.

Citywide negotiations occurred as late as December 22nd, but this week should be quiet.

The Organization of Staff Analysts notes with deepest sorrow the loss of one of our family. Brendon, son of Joan Doheny, passed away last week after a brief stay in the hospital.

Brendon had worked for OSA in Summers gone by and was known by both officers and staff. There are no words adequate to his loss. He will be missed by us all.

This Thursday, of course, is our famous holiday party – with good food and drink and even music. It's at 220 East 23rd Street, 7th Floor, from 6 – 9 pm, and you are very welcome. See you at the party.

It was a generally quiet week on the negotiations front. We tentatively expect the City to sign off soon on an agreement for OSA to represent most Level I Administrative Staff Analysts. The case has been gong on for years and even the negotiations on final agreement have taken unnecessary months. No matter. If it happens it's a good thing and if not we will win our case before the Office of Collective Bargaining soon thereafter.

Administrative Staff Analysts have been paying dues for many years to our professional branch, the Organization of Staff Analysts and Related Titles. The Admins have kept faith with OSART – and we with them. It would be nice if we win before the Holidays.

Our general membership meeting is set for this Thursday at the union office at 6pm, 220 East 23rd Street, Suite 709. See you there.
