OSA Newsline -- August 2, 1999

The union is working on payroll problems related to the longevity parts of the raise.

Some Agencies have paid the 10 and 15 year amounts but not yet the twenty. Others have paid all, but with minor errors related to compounding, and the HHC has not paid at all.

We did not get a lot of complaints over individual payroll errors, which is good. The gross errors, where the Agency itself fails to pay anyone anything at all, are fairly easy for the union to address.

Hopefully, by the first paycheck in September, all monies will have been properly paid including the large amount of retroactive monies now due to our senior members in the Hospital Corporation.

This newsline will not be updated until after Labor Day unless there are unforeseen developments. So, enjoy the rest of the Summer.
